Understanding fund fact sheets history?
« on: April 13, 2014, 06:29:12 AM »
How do I interpret fund fact sheets? I get past performance is no guide to future returns. But some of the graphs I seen show like a return of 12% year one, 15% year two and 20% year three? Does that mean I would have a return of 47% over three years for example?

It's usually discrete year-on-year data, so it all depends on when you invested. One thing to look out for is to check out these figures against its benchmark, then you can really understand if it's done well.
