Horsmeat scandal boost Sainsbury’s as sales rise

Sainsbury’s has benefited from the horse meat scandal which impacted rivals such as Tesco and Asda as the supermarket has posted a like-for-liek sales increase of 3.6% (excluding fuel) in the ten weeks to March 16th.

Justin King, CEO of the company reiterated that Sainsbury’s has invested heavily in its supply chain over many years.
