Italy credit rating downgraded by Fitch

Italy’s credit rating has been downgraded one notch to BBB-plus by Fitch due to a number of factors including a deep recession and political uncertainty following an election last week.

Fitch said “The inconclusive results of the Italian parliamentary elections on February 24-25 make it unlikely that a stable new government can be formed in the next few week.”
