The Microsoft dividend growth has slowed following a fall in computer sales and a big write-off relating to a failed acquisition. The technology giant has revealed a quarterly dividend increase of 15 percent, effective from December.
Shareholders will now receive a dividend of 23 cents per share from Microsoft.
However, the 15 percent increase in dividend is lower than the 25 and 23 percent increases it has provided previously.
Microsoft began paying a regular quarterly dividend in 2004.
