These Awards are now open for nominations and IBA invites Angel investors, VCs, SMEs, advisors and all those working with early stage investing to put forward their nominations to win one of these prestigious awards. The deadline for all nominations is Wednesday the 20th June; these nominations will then be judged by an independent expert panel.

IBA Launches Be an Angel Portal to Double the number of Angels to back Britain’s Entrepreneurs

In the wake of the latest Report launched this week “Make Business Your Business” and the new Start-up loans initiative, led by Lord Young, the Government’s Enterprise Tsar, the Investoo Business Angels is launching its new Be An Angel portal and campaign aimed at encouraging more individuals to put their spare finance and business experience to work behind Britain’s entrepreneurs.

Business Angel CoFund invests £7.2 million in small firms

8 May 2024

The Angel CoFund has today (Tuesday) announced the completion of its first five investments, with a total of £7.2 million committed to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk joined some of the first businesses to receive funding, following the end of a strong first quarter for the Angel CoFund, which was launched in November 2011.

Former IBA Director has book shortlisted for the People’s Book Prize
