The Nokia share price has slumped by 13 percent following the unveiling of the new Nokia Lumia 920 and 820 smartphones. These phones are powered by a Microsoft-produced operating system and are seen by many as Nokia’s last chance to gain some traction in its battle against iPhone and Android-enabled phones.
Analysts were largely disappointed by what they saw and heard regrading the new Nokia Lumia which features high-end camera technology in addition to a larger screen.
Sentiment regarding the new phone is that it simply lacks the ‘wow’ factor needed to encourage customers to switch from rival devices and is more of an evolution rather than a revolution from Nokia.
