The pro-longed recession has caused the number of mental health issues in Children to surge within Ireland according to the organisations of the National Mental Healthcare Conference.
It is claimed that the amount of children suffering from issues such as depressions has surged by 30 percent in recent years.
Explaining the role of the recession in this increase, Dr Ian Gargan noted that the recession has caused increases in stresses within Irish households, which in turn damage parental relationships and feed into children.
