Access to Finance for SME’s in London.

The LDA seeks to assist SME’s, which could not otherwise do so via traditional routes, to raise finance.

We sponsor Finance Readiness, run through Business Link for London by helping new or expanding businesses to present a more professional face when applying for loans. This typically includes help with business or marketing plans, legal and HR issues for.

The LDA aims to plug the Funding Gap at the lower end of the market and offers loans, via our Fund Managers, at commercial rates, to SME’s. These are:

• Small Loans up to £50,000 - Fund £6m
• Larger Loans to Social Enterprises £50,000 - £250,000 - Fund £2m
• Larger unsecured commercial loans £50,000 - £250,000 - Fund £2m

In addition the LDA has established 2 equity schemes:

• The Creative Capital Fund for companies in the creative sector
• The London Technology Fund for investment in seed corn technology companies

Each of the equity schemes also has its’ own particular finance readiness element – The Creative Accelerator and the Gateway2Investment respectively.
