By harnessing the strengths of The Royal Bank of Scotland has become the largest UK Corporate Bank – a Bank with true global capability, but one which retains its local expertise.

The Group recognises the unique requirements of growth orientated, technology based businesses and have team of 60 specially trained Commercial Technology Managers (CTMs) in key locations providing “life cycle support”. These CTMs are supported by a dedicated central unit, Technology Sector Group, to provide specialist support, information, access to professional service networks and appropriate finance.

The CTMs have to access to:

• Bespoke information and appraisal services, designed to establish a clear understanding of specific markets, business strategies and objectives.
• Access to appropriate specialists (both internal to the Group and external) who can provide guidance on business critical areas e.g. Intellectual Property, development of key marketing strategies.
• Flexible finance packages combining Business Angel and Venture capital investment with debt and asset funding.
