Camco

Camco has been providing expert analysis and advice on low carbon technologies and decentralised clean energy projects since 1989, to clients in over 90 countries, including multinational, regional and local companies, investors, governments and NGOs. We are a global business with a strong presence in the UK, USA, China, SE Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, working with established businesses, as well as start-ups, to help drive the development of a global, low carbon economy.

Camco provides hands-on support on technical, commercial, markets and regulatory issues to generate value for low carbon projects, investments and businesses:

  • Identifying and mitigating the impact of technical, energy and carbon risks
  • Preparing for volatile energy costs and current/future carbon regulation
  • Technical and commercial due diligence on investments in low carbon technologies/start-ups
  • Strategic advice to maximise prospects from energy and carbon investments

One of Camco’s key strengths is to bring together the technical, financial and policy/regulatory skills necessary to build strong business strategies and plans. Camco developed the UK’s first retail green electricity supply company, is actively engaged in the development of electricity storage systems based on redox flow cell technology, is developing a pipeline of large-scale biogas projects in the US dairy sector, and has been supporting the Shell Springboard competition for innovative, low carbon business ideas each year since its inception in 2005.

Camco brings this experience to work with cleantech start-ups, low carbon project developers and investors to help develop effective commercialisation strategies and business plans.
