2 March 2012

BBAA National Investment Summit

2nd July 2012, 09.30 – 16.30

The British Business Angels Association National Investment Summit, now in its 8th year, has become a key milestone in the calendar of all those keen to find out core trends and developments in early stage investing, offering an important forum for interaction for the Angel/VC marketplace. The 2012 Summit is this year sponsored by Lloyds TSB Commercial and hosted by the ICAEW London Region at the prestigious facilities of the Chartered Accountants Hall, 1 Moorgate Place, London EC2 in the heart of the City of London. This event is organised in the context of investing in entrepreneurship and growth at a time of a challenging global economic climate and an opportunity to share experience and knowledge across the early stage finance community.

A wide range of expert speakers and panellists from both the UK and international investment market will review the impact of such developments and their potential to achieve growth of the angel and early stage investment market. Opportunities and challenges for investing in key growth sectors will be examined, looking at the interface with other finance sources, including banks and corporates, as well as new models for raising entrepreneurial finance. The event offers exceptional opportunities for networking and interaction with like minded representatives of the early stage investment community.

BBAA National Awards Dinner

2nd July 2012, 19.00 – 23.00

The BBAA Annual Awards Dinner will take place on the evening of the National Investment Summit. This event will be held at the magnificent Swan Dining Room at the historic Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre on London’s Southbank, one of the most uniquely interesting venues of the Capital situated next to the River Thames with spectacular views of the City of London.

This prestigious black-tie event has become a focal point in the year to recognise and reward achievements for angel and early stage investment. Six carefully selected awards will be presented in a lively and entertaining atmosphere to both entrepreneurs and investors who have shown success in key aspects of the investment market and covering different sectors as well as the “Angel of the Year”.

The event will begin with a champagne reception and guests will have exclusive access to many of the props and costumes from many of the famous Shakespeare plays, combined with excellent food, guest speakers and extensive networking opportunities in a unique and prestigious location in London.

We hope you can join us at these major events in London in early July. Further information on the programme and registration for both these events will be posted on the BBAA web-site:
