Investor Briefing: New Business Models for a Sustainable Economy

29 November 2011

Date & Time: Tuesday 29 November, 5.30pm - 9.00pm

Venue: 1 St-Martins-le-Grand, London, EC1A 4NP

Forbury Investment Network and Rushlight Events are delighted to announce our fifth investor briefing on November 29th: an evening focussing on new business models for a sustainable economy.

Cleantech is about increasing resource efficiency in our economies and transitioning away from needless consumption. As such, rather than focusing purely on technology innovations there is also a need to re-examine existing business models to encourage a new mode of consumption. Already some of these innovative business models are disrupting existing players, examples of which include electric battery lease/swap, car sharing, cooking oil rental, open source IP and free installation of renewables.

In this briefing we will explore what is it about these new business models that make them attractive to a resource constrained future, how they are causing disruption to established market leaders and give examples across a range of industry sectors.
